DAY 1: 12-Days of Dennis Kucinich & His Plan to End the War (ahem)

Important: Each point is taken directly from http://kucinich.us/iraqplan and my own little commentary will follow it. Each day, I'll present another point in his HR1234:

HR 1234 will restore Iraq's sovereignty over its oil, control its food and energy prices, and protect its financial integrity by ensuring Iraq will not be the target of World Bank and IMF structural adjustment policies.

1. The US announces it will end the occupation, close military bases and withdraw. The insurgency has been fueled by the occupation and the prospect of a long-term presence as indicated by the building of permanent bases. A US declaration of an intention to withdraw troops and close bases will help dampen the insurgency which has been inspired to resist colonization and fight invaders and those who have supported US policy. Furthermore this will provide an opening where parties within Iraq and in the region can set the stage for negotiations towards peaceful settlement.

--end

Need I say any more? "...Inspired to resist colonization and fight invaders..." This should not only be inspiration for the Iraqi (and other nations) to rise up and declare NO MORE and in a non-violent way, but also for the American People to wake up and see that in the name of OUR freedom and OUR rights, we are stomping on the very rights of others and desecrating their sacred lands and customs. Enough is truly enough. Let's end this delusional illusion and honor people for their culture and well, sorry guys, they were there first. The world is NOT your sandbox (no pun intended) and live and let live. If we don't have the resources to fuel our consumption for the petrol, then by golly, take the lead and invent something (or unleash something already discovered) that will be at such a forefront that the demand will supplement the profits from big oil... oh wait, that's trouble... stay tuned for #2, tomorrow.

Watch a Recent Interview on CNN w/ Kucinich

PS. If you missed any of the GOP debates from the other day, apparently the main-stream media is reporting that their little lap-puppies were the hands down winners-- Romney, Guiliani, etc... But according to the very poll that MSNBC conducted through its website, the PEOPLE see differently and point out that RON PAUL was the hands-down winner.

I watched a condensed version of just HIS responses to the various questions, he's not to shabby either-- NO IRS. And how to do that? Eliminate the need-- ie, no policing the world, no big government etc. Hmm, sounds like he's gonna work himself out of a job. But seriously, some of his points really contradict the main-vein of thought in today's GOP (neo-con) agenda. Take a listen here:

Watch Ron Paul's Answers here! Very interesting, even if GOP.
