Fat Little Bastard @ The Rudyard Kipling
Man, if you missed the Rudyard on the 15th, you missed a great trio of groups! We had an evening full of jazz and beach jazz. We had The Bobby Falk Group, GoKarmaGo! and special guests, all the way from New York City, Fat Little Bastard.
The only way I know how to sum up the jazz mastery that was displayed by FLB was to call it "Beach Jazz". I mean, their style (having all met at a music conservatory) can only be summed up into what you might here if there was a jazz trio playing while you were vacationing at the beach. It had a 60s guitar edge and just some superb arranging of their original tunes.
I bought both CDs! They are great and hopefully, will have some more pictures to share!

May 24th, The Dream Revive-ALL!
Man, I gotta tell ya, some friends of mine and I are putting together this little play that really, will change the world. Its all about remembering your dreams, practicing what you preach and doing what you say you are going to do-- all in an effort to bring inner peace and translate that to those around you... its about finding and letting go of the things that hold you back: fear, jealousy, pain, regrets and so much more. Come REVIVE your spirit at this fun-filled, musically charged cabaret performance. Featuring the Soapbox Sirens, Troubadours of Divine Bliss and Lizzie West & the White Buffalo!
Peace-
Pele

And just like that...
...what was legal, at the drop of someone's hand, is no longer legal. We have a new Metro Government group- Metro Aesthetics.
If you take a look at this picture and then close your eyes, you can almost imagine yourself in this serene locale. It is a great mural. This is on Main Street, I believe beneath the I64 overpass.
The Urban Experimental Art Project, that was abruptly discontinued JUST before Derby, several weeks ahead of schedule. But the city has erected some beautifully civic, blue signs that seem to suggest that it will return in "Summer 2007". I look forward to this amazing art work.

"The Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) has recently issued a ruling that will increase royalty rates for radio stations which stream recorded music on the Internet. Public broadcasters pay royalties to songwriters and music publishers, and WFPK wants artists to be paid fairly for their work. But this new ruling has set rates that are 150 percent higher than rates paid in 2005.
The Internet Radio Equality Act (H.R. 2060) has been introduced to nullify the CRB’s decision and recognize the mission of public radio to provide diverse programming." --05.14.07, wfpk.org
Sample letter to send to Yarmuth and others!
Be peace now.

Car Roof Top Art
I was riding in your car
I turned on the radio...
OK, I really can't finish that song. But we all do some strange things to exhibit our individuality and sense of purpose! What a way to testify, because much like your refrigerator, you know when people arrive, they look...
Speak it!
