Man, if you missed the Rudyard on the 15th, you missed a great trio of groups! We had an evening full of jazz and beach jazz. We had The Bobby Falk Group, GoKarmaGo! and special guests, all the way from New York City, Fat Little Bastard.
The only way I know how to sum up the jazz mastery that was displayed by FLB was to call it "Beach Jazz". I mean, their style (having all met at a music conservatory) can only be summed up into what you might here if there was a jazz trio playing while you were vacationing at the beach. It had a 60s guitar edge and just some superb arranging of their original tunes.
I bought both CDs! They are great and hopefully, will have some more pictures to share!
