its the hardest thing we learn
it lives all around us
and yet when confronted
it is the one thing that drives us deep
deep into ourselves to find
what it is that drives us
what drives me
past this point of insanity
into a place of empathy
equanimity and balance
spirit and mind
battle wages on
quieting the sounds
our hearts beating now.
